Experienced Health Policy Strategist
Creating Solutions That Make a Difference
Public Health and Policy‑Making Expert
I’m Glenna Crooks, Ph.D., a public health and policy strategist serving governments, companies, and organizations globally, helping them solve problems to improve health and well-being.
Beginnings
Early in my career, I was a school psychologist. In that role, I created educational opportunities for children with special needs and special talents in the era before children had a legal right to an education that accommodated their abilities. When the children gained that right, my innovative models evolved to become what is known as Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
My Motivation
My concern for children led me back to graduate school. There, I learned more about the first system that impacted their lives: healthcare. I earned an Interdisciplinary Ph.D., interfacing the health sciences, social sciences, law, and journalism. Since then, I’ve made it my life’s mission to improve health for people of all ages because healthy people are more able to work towards the peace and prosperity I wish for this world.
My Contribution
I have a particular talent for organizing chaos and solving difficult, complex problems, helping healthcare companies, governments, patient advocates, and professional societies. My strategies create solutions to the unmet needs that trouble their customers, stakeholders, or members.
My Skills and Insight
I’ve had a successful career in many areas of policy and public health. I use that experience when I design strategic solutions today. I’ve served in senior roles in government, in a Fortune 50 company, and as the CEO of a strategy firm I founded. Along the way, I’ve had the opportunity to meet and learn from some of the world’s most skilled and dedicated leaders.
My Role
To many, I am a confidential advisor, especially during tough times. They shared their deepest desires to create a better world and the toughest challenges they’ve encountered. I have profound respect, admiration, and gratitude for each one. Their visions continue to inform and vitalize my work today.
